Dai Sato is your typical Japanese working class schlub.There’s never quite enough money, there are few prospects for the future, he hardly ever sees his daughter, and his grandfather suffers from dementia. But there’s more! Dai Sato is also Dai Nipponjin (Dai the Great Japanese), a sixth generation superhero who grows to enormous size when exposed to electricity and battles the monsters rampaging across Japan! Too bad nobody cares… Shot in faux documentary style with a film crew following the daily life of this unlikely superhero, the film is a sly parody of both day to day working class life and the Japanese superheros of yore, all played with a deliciously dry sense of humor.
