Main Program

When Day Breaks / Goran Paskaljević

Misha Brankov is a retired music professor. One morning he receives a letter requesting him to contact the Jewish Museum in Belgrade. At the museum, he learns that during the excavation of the sewers at the city’s Old Fairgrounds, an iron box was found, in the exact same place where, during World War II, an infamous concentration camp was set up for Serbian Jews and Gypsies. The contents of the box will change the professor’s life. The film is the Serbian candidate for Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.
