Main Program

Yellow City / Savvas Katirtzidis

Inside Yellow City, in one of the few houses that still leave the lights on when the night doesn’t ring with gunfire, live five different “homeless tramps,” who are subject to the same law, each for a different reason. Two women and three men are sentenced to house arrest: state monitoring, psychological violence, sexual repression, paranoia. All these things take place in an old mansion with evident signs of wear, which becomes the prison and the hideout of the five heroes. They create a universe of their own and decide to set up a game taking a stand against the state and its orders, the main rule of the game being each one’s testimony of their imaginary and dreamlike deaths. One way or another, they’re going to do us in. And the game begins...
