The 49th International Film Festival expands this year in the regions of Macedonia and Thrace supported by the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace and with the coordination of the local authorities. 11 cities, instead of 9 last year, are participating in this year’s Regional Events that aim to bear the people of the region close to the spirit of the Festival as well as give them the opportunity to watch some of the most interesting and subversive movies proposed by the Festival.
Alexandroupolis, Kavala, Serres, Drama, Kilkis, Edessa, Grevena, Kozani, Florina, Kastoria and Ioannina are the cities that will host a selection of films out of the 49th Festival’s program, from 22 November until 2 December. This year’s Regional Events program will also be enriched with the presentation of parts of the exhibitions program of the 49th Film Festival.
