“Loose my romanticism and I’ m lost... Better off leaving, better of disappearing, better off withering away along with buildings and old love stories, ruins and myths...” . “My fingers dare to seek out the truth among the ruins.” Wrinkles and Dreams is a nostalgic film inspired by a poor neighborhood in Heraklion, a town On the island of Crete, Greece. An old man is wandering about in the narrow side streets, reminiscing about his childhood, his youth, his neighborhood, lost love. A trip down memory lane in the form of a dance travelogue. The cast of this film is 120 ordinary people, aged 4 to 74. Some of the participants are residents of the area, others are students – most of them are amateurs and only 10 of them are professional dancers. A lyrical narration and an original score, based upon traditional Cretan and Greek sounds, embraces the originality and romanticism of this work.
