Kira‘s Reason – A Love Story / Ole Christian Madsen

Kira and Mads, in their thirties, have two children and enjoy a good life, until Kira’s manic disorder manifests and she needs to stay in a psychiatric ward. All Kira now wishes is to live up to her family’s expectations and comply with the demands placed on her as a mother and wife. She desperately wants to succeed, but fails, breaking the rules of conduct and creating scandals. Her relationship with her husband and kids suffers due to her escapades and her lack of self-control. When she discovers Mads had an affair during her hospitalization, she intensifies her efforts to win back her family, but comes to realize that she cannot live the life of the wife and mother she used to be.
